PADI Assistant Instructor Course
Do you want to make the transition from diving professional to diving instructor? With the PADI Assistant Instructor Course, you take a significant step towards teaching diving courses. In this course, you will learn how to support dive training, explain theory, and teach specific skills to new divers.
The course is part of the Professional Association of Diving Instructors instructor track and often forms the first half of the well-known Instructor Development Course (IDC).
What does this course entail?
During the Assistant Instructor course, you will learn how to teach effectively and support instructors during dive courses. You will work on, among other things:
Teaching and presenting diving theory
Demonstrating diving skills to students
Assisting with Open Water Diver training
Guiding students during training
Giving briefings and debriefings
Basic principles of diving instruction and student evaluation
The course combines theory, practical exercises, and training in the water , so that you learn how to convey knowledge clearly and safely.

Conditions to start
To start the PADI Assistant Instructor Course , you must:
Be certified as a Divemaster (or equivalent)
Be at least 18 years old
Have at least 60 logged dives to start
Have a valid First Aid and CPR certification
Be medically fit to dive
