PADI Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) Specialty
Do you want to move faster through the water and discover more of a dive site? With the PADI Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) Specialty, you will learn to dive using an underwater scooter. A DPV helps you cover greater distances with less effort, allowing you to see more during a single dive.
The course is offered by the Professional Association of Diving Instructors and is perfect for divers who want to make their dives more adventurous and efficient.
What does this course entail?
During the DPV course, you will learn how to use an underwater scooter safely and efficiently. You will work with, among other things:
Setting up and checking a DPV before the dive
Correct starting, steering, and stopping techniques
Planning dives with a scooter
Team diving with multiple DPVs
Procedures for malfunctions or releasing the scooter
Maintaining good trim and buoyancy during use
The course consists of theory and several practical training dives in which you practice the use of a DPV.

Conditions to start
To begin the PADI Diver Propulsion Vehicle Specialty , you must:
Be at least certified Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
