PADI Dive Against Debris Specialty
Do you want to not only enjoy the underwater world while diving, but also help protect it? With the PADI Dive Against Debris Specialty, you will learn how to safely remove debris underwater and collect valuable data on marine debris.
This course was developed in collaboration with the PADI AWARE Foundation and is offered through the Professional Association of Diving Instructors. The goal is to actively involve divers in the protection of oceans, lakes, and rivers.
What does this course entail?
During the Dive Against Debris course, you will learn how to participate responsibly in underwater cleanup operations. You will work on, among other things:
Recognizing different types of marine debris
How to safely remove waste underwater
Preventing damage to marine life during cleanup operations
Registering and reporting collected waste
Contribute to global research data on ocean pollution
The course combines theory with practical dives , where you actually collect and record waste.

Conditions to start
To start the PADI Dive Against Debris Specialty , you must:
Be at least certified Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
Be at least 12 years old
