As a diver, do you want to not only enjoy the underwater world but also actively contribute to protecting it? With the PADI AWARE Specialty, you will learn how you can make a difference for the ocean and its inhabitants.

The course is developed by the PADI AWARE Foundation and offered through the Professional Association of Diving Instructors. It is the perfect first step towards more conscious and environmentally friendly diving.

What does this course entail?

During the PADI AWARE course, you will learn about the most important challenges facing our oceans and what you can do as a diver. You will work on, among other things:

• The 10 tips for protecting the underwater world

• Insight into global environmental problems such as pollution and climate change

• The impact of human behavior on marine ecosystems

• How to act responsibly and environmentally consciously as a diver

• Ways to actively contribute to ocean protection

The course consists primarily of theory and interactive sessions , and can often be taken without diving.

Conditions to start

To start the PADI AWARE Specialty , you must:

• Be at least 10 years old
