During this course, you will learn various techniques to locate and recover lost objects underwater. You will work with, among other things:
Various search patterns such as circle, line, and U-search patterns
The use of a compass and reference lines in search operations
How to plan and organize a search
The correct use of lift bags
Techniques to safely bring objects to the surface
Team communication and collaboration during a search operation
The specialty consists of theory and several practical dives in which you immediately apply the techniques.

Conditions to start
To begin the SSI Search & Recovery Specialty , you must:
Be at least certified Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
Be at least 12 years old
