SSI Sidemount Diving Specialty

Do you want more comfort, flexibility, and control while diving? With the SSI Sidemount Diving Specialty , you learn to dive with your tanks on the side of your body instead of on your back. This configuration is becoming increasingly popular among both recreational and technical divers thanks to the comfort, balance, and extra safety.

The course is offered by Scuba Schools International and is ideal for divers who want to further optimize their equipment and diving technique.

What does this course entail?

During the Sidemount course, you will learn how to dive efficiently and comfortably with a sidemount configuration. You will work with, among other things:

  • Building and configuring sidemount equipment

  • Correct trimming and positioning of the bottles

  • Improving trim, balance, and buoyancy

  • Efficient gas management and cylinder exchange techniques

  • Troubleshooting sidemount configurations

  • Performing dives with one or two cylinders

The course consists of theory and several practical training dives in which you practice the techniques step by step.
