PADI Wreck Diver Specialty
Shipwrecks have a mysterious quality. They tell stories from the past and have often become true hotspots for marine life. With the PADI Wreck Diver Specialty, you learn how to safely explore wrecks and discover what makes these unique dive sites so special.
The course is offered by the Professional Association of Diving Instructors and is one of the most popular specialties for adventure divers.
What does this course entail?
During the Wreck Diver course, you will learn how to safely plan and execute wreck dives. You will work on, among other things:
Planning and preparing for wreck dives
Recognizing potential hazards around wrecks
Correct use of lines and reels
Techniques for safely exploring wrecks
Navigating around and along wreck structures
Maintaining good trim and buoyancy around obstacles
Depending on the training , limited penetrations into wrecks may also be practiced.
The course consists of theory and several practical training dives on or around a wreck.

Conditions to start
To start the PADI Wreck Diver Specialty , you must:
